Art in the Park is a juried fine art show presented by the Hernando County Fine Arts Council on the 2nd weekend of every March at beautiful Tom Varn Park in Brooksville, FL. Over 130 fine artists and fine crafters exhibit and sell their art. Fine paintings, photographs, wood craft, metal craft, carvings, sculptures, assemblages and wearable art are displayed by award winning artists from near and far. A Student Juried Art Show also takes place. Visit the Student Art Tent displays art showing quality art from local school children. Younger children will enjoy booths by the Hernando County Youth Orchestra, Live Oak Theatre and the Children's Activity Tent hosted by Walmart Neighborhood Market and other local businesses. Food trucks offer everything from hot dogs and lemonade to gourmet coffee and shrimp. Daily entertainment at the Main Stage includes special performances by the Hernando County Symphony Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra, bands and other performance groups from the area. Admission is always free! A parking donation of $5 is requested.
